Public-Private Sector Consultative Committee holds second meeting

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Public-Private Sector Consultative Committee has hold the second meeting since its establishment to discuss its functions.
The Committee is under the Investment Protection Council, headed by the Chief of the Cabinet Secretariat. Chief of the Cabinet Secretariat G.Zandanshatar attended the March 22 meeting, and said, “The Committee must develop as an independent and consistent mechanism, and the professional associations must be leading in the maturity of this body.”
At the moment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working on digitalization of the business environment, and tax reform is on agenda. “The private sector must express its unified stance on this matter,” he said.
The Chief of Cabinet Secretariat also expressed his confidence that the Committee will play an important role in attracting foreign direct investment, improving efficiency of the State Budget investment, monitoring concession agreements by private sector, creation of pro-investment environment and strengthening of the trust and cooperation between the public and the private sector.

The Government will be represented by the Director of the National Development Agency and the private sector by the President of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Consultative Committee. The members are authorities of the corresponding Ministries, government agencies, businesses and nongovernment organizations.
