Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The number of live births increased by 12.2 percent compared to last year, reports the National Statistics Office.
In the first quarter of 2018, 18,556 mothers delivered 18,671 babies (live births), increased by 2,014 mothers (12.2 percent) and 2,029 live births (12.2 percent) compared with the previous year respectively.
In of March, totally, 6,616 mothers delivered 6,654 babies (live births), increased by 909 mothers (15.9 percent) and 908 live births (15.8 percent) compared with previous month, respectively

In the first quarter 2018, infant mortality rate per 1,000 live births was 15, decreased by 1 and under-five mortality rate was 18, decreased by 1 compared with the previous year.
In March 2018, infant mortality rate per 1,000 live births was 14 same period of previous year and under-five mortality rate per 1,000 live births was 17 increased by 1 children.
