Moscow /MONTSAME/ Mongolians studying abroad held their annual forum in Moscow on May 7, under the theme ‘Education, Scholarship, Career and Start-up’.

With the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the Council of Mongolians Abroad NGO and the Munkh Tenger NGO of Mongolians living in Russia co-organized the meeting, which was attended by more than 100 Mongolians studying in Russia and the European Union countries.

“Maybe we won’t reach a decision today, but it is important that we gather and discuss our problems. The issues covered at this forum will be conveyed to the government,” said Head of the NGO N.Nomun-Erdene to a MONTSAME correspondent in Moscow.

The Council is currently working on a program named ‘Internship for Mongolians Studying Abroad’, in scope of which the students will be given opportunities to do an internship at government and non-government organizations in Mongolia.

There are more 150 unions of Mongolians living abroad in over 30 countries, and the Council of Mongolians Abroad NGO unites them. The main focus of the Council is to protect the rights of Mongolians living and studying abroad. The first forum of Mongolians Studying Abroad was held in August, 2017, under the auspices of the Prime Minister.
