Foreign Affairs State Secretary visits Vietnam

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On May 13-18 delegation led by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Davaasuren paid a working visit to Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The purpose of the visit is to study experience of Vietnam's establishment of free trade agreement with Eurasian Economic Union and to advance the goal to export meat and meat products to the Vietnamese market.
Representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, General Agency for Specialized Inspection and General Customs Authority were included in the delegation.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Davaasuren met with the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Le Hoai Trung, Vice Minister of Trade and Industry Tran Quoc Khanh and exchanged views on increasing trade turnover between the two countries, opportunities to expand economic cooperation and issues to consider during the establishment of free trade agreement.
He also met with the Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam Vu Van Tam and agreed to exchange risk assessment teams of the two countries within August and September to monitor the production of meat and meat products according to the protocol of 16th Intergovernmental Commission meeting between Mongolia and Vietnam. During the visit General Director of the DABACO group Nguyen Xuan Tuan received our delegation and introduced with chicken and chicken meat product processing factory.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Davaasuren met with the Haiphong city's People’s Committee’s Chairman Nguyen Van Tung and administrations of the Haiphong city's Customs General Administration and Haiphong port and got familiar with the activities of the port.
Working visit was co-organized by the Mongolian Embassy in Hanoi, Ministry of Trade and Industry of Vietnam and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam.
