HeForShe movement to be launched in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the initiative of MP A.Undraa, HeForShe movement is to be officially kicked off with the support of the United Nations Population Fund, United Nations Development Program and Unread Media on July 8 at the State Palace.
In 2014, UN Women and British actor Emma Watson jointly initiated the movement for gender equality.
The goal of HeforShe is to call everyone to team up and take action against negative stereotypes and behaviors for gender-equal society.
The word HeForShe literally means ‘Men for women’. Another goal of this movement is to end the one-sided view that gender equality is only women’s problem.
Men, young men and boys encourage women in all environment - their families, schools, and work places - and view their own efforts are important. Thus, many leaders and famous people including Barack Obama, Prince Harry and actor Matt Damon joined HeForShe. Even governments, big companies and universities are joining the movement.
Currently, 1.7 million people around the globe joined HeForShe movement. Over 1100 activities have been carried out and the movement was involved in 1.3 billion conversations on the Internet.
