State Secretary takes part in roundtable on Northeast Asian Security
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of Mongolia D.Davaasuren participated in the Seventh Zermatt Roundtable
on Current Security Issues in North East Asia, held in Glion/Montreux,
Switzerland on September 17-19, and made remarks.
Some 38 representatives and scholars from Mongolia, China,
the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the
Russian Federation, the United States of America, Switzerland and the European
Union participated in the event. They exchanged views on five issues
regarding the security of Northeast Asia.
State Secretary D.Davaasuren, in his remarks, expressed
Mongolia’s position about developing cooperation on ensuring regional peace and
sustainability. He also mentioned that Mongolia organized the fifth
International Conference 'Ulaanbaatar Dialogue on Northeast Asian Security' on
June 12 subsequent to the first high-level meeting between the United States of
America and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
