November 8 and 26 to be public holidays

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In accordance with the law on National Public Holidays, Mongolia will observe public holidays on November 8 and November 26.


According to the law, birthday of Chinggis Khaan is marked on the first day of first month of winter based on the lunar calendar. This year, the birthday of Chinggis Khaan falls on Thursday, November 8.


As for November 26, the country will observe public holiday since the day is marked as Proclamation Day. November 26 was made a public holiday on November 18, 2016 in accordance with the parliamentary resolution.
