Peacekeepers depart for Afghanistan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 9th batch of Mongolian peacekeepers that will serve in NATO-led Resolute Support Afghanistan Mission in collaboration with the German Army team, departed for the country on December 9. Traditionally, the military officers paid a tribute to the Flag of Armed Forces.


Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces, Major General J.Badambazar said, "The country where You will perform your missions is in unstable condition. Nevertheless, I am confident that you will confirm and strengthen achievements of previous military teams, raising the reputation of the Armed Forces and demonstrating good skill, discipline and patience of Mongolian officers. 


Furthermore, we are getting involved female military officers in coalition military operation for the first time. This is not only the feature of the 9th batch but also an important event opening a new chapter in the history of Mongolian Armed Forces. I assign You all to be cautious all the time of the operation and to fulfill the honorable duty successfully.
