Minister of Road and Transportation Development meets Ambassadors

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Road and Transportation Development B.Enkh-Amgalan held meetings with Ambassador of Japan to Mongolia Masato Takaoka and Ambassador of Russian Federation to Mongolia I.K.Azizov, talking on bilateral cooperation issues.

Ambassador Masato Takaoka expressed his willingness to cooperate actively in developing bilateral relations in road and transportation development while congratulating the Minister on his appointment. For his part, Minister B.Enkh-Amgalan stressed the importance of launching the New Ulaanbaatar International Airport as early as possible in compliance with international standards and noted the airport will contribute greatly to growth of not only road and transportation sector, but also to economy and tourism sector of Mongolia. Thus, the sides agreed to commit themselves to launch the new airport in July.



Ambassador I.K.Azizov expressed his readiness to provide full support in organizing the ‘Mongolia-Russia Initiative’ and other important events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Ulaanbaatar Railways company and 80th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Khalkin Gol. Moreover, the sides exchanged views on a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues including air, road and railway transportation and implementation of major projects and programs between the two countries.
