Book written by Speaker G.Zandanshatar receives Grand Prix

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Award presenting ceremony to the winners of the 8th Siberian Regional Best Book Selection, which was jointly organized by Irkutsk State University, Russia-Mongolia Cooperation Center and Book of University project, took place on April 18.

Grand Prix went to the books ‘One Mongolia towards One Direction. Development is an orderly movement’ written by Speaker of the Parliament G.Zandanshatar, ‘Jenko Battulga’ by writer, director D.Turmunkh and ‘Encountering Issues in Mongolia-Russia Relations in the first half of the 20th Century’ by academician T.Dorj.  These works are published in Russian.  

As considered by the judges of the competition, the book ‘‘One Mongolia towards One Direction. Development is an orderly movement’  is special and valuable as it puts forward an idea ‘Building Responsible, Trustworthy and Stable State in a way of combining democratic legislation and tradition and people’s respect to the state and state honor to its people are the principle of development’ and the ways how to realize the principle are included in the book. 

‘Book of University’ selection has 20 years of history and this time selection was held in Mongolia for the first time. Besides selecting Grand Prix from over 600 books written by Mongolian and Mongolia-Russian writers, the judges also selected the bests in several nominations.
