Dundgobi /MONTSAME/. U.S. Embassy Assistant Public Affairs Officer Adam Hennings, officer in charge of education programme Kh.Saruul and other representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Mongolia worked in Dundgobi aimag to further develop partnership and introduce the embassy’s programmes.

In the frameworks of the working visit, they held a meeting with the governing body of Dundgobi aimag alongside visiting the Education, Culture and Arts and Sports Authority, general education schools, technical and vocational education training institution and some NGOs, organizing a meeting with representatives of civil society organizations.

About the working visit, Mr. Adam Hennings said, “During the 36 hours of our working visit in the aimag, we visited all corresponding organizations and met as many people as possible to give information and exchange opinions. One of the things we noticed during the working visit is the children and youth’s ambition to enhance their knowledge and education as well as improving their English language skills. It is also grateful to know that the governors are also supporting them. Of the 20 students that will be involved in the U.S. government’s exchange program for high school students, two students are from Dundgobi aimag. I am confident that there will be more opportunities for the aimag’s students and youth to be involved in our programme, studying abroad and improving their language skills.”

During the meeting with civil society organizations, they introduced the scholarship program announced by the U.S. Embassy, discussing the operations and pressing issues faced by local NGOs.
