President vetoes package law on taxation
PoliticsUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On May 14, President of Mongolia
Khaltmaagiin Battulga put a veto on the General Taxation Law, the Law on
Corporate Income Tax, the Law on Personal Income Tax and the accompanying laws
that were adopted.
In
this regard, an official letter was forwarded to Chairman of the State Great
Khural G.Zandanshatar.
The
official letter says:
“I
have gained familiarity with the General Taxation Law, the Law on Corporate
Income Tax, the Law on Personal Income Tax, and the accompanying laws that were
adopted by the Parliament on March 22, 2019, and forwarded to the Office of the
President on May 8, 2019.
…With
due consideration of the characteristic of a package law stated in Article 26
of the Law on Legislation and in accordance with Clause 1 of Section 1 of
Article 33 of the Constitution of Mongolia and Section 8 of Article 12 of the
Law on the President of Mongolia, I am putting a veto on the General Taxation
Law, the Law on Corporate Income Tax, the Law on Personal Income Tax, and the
accompanying laws that were adopted.
I
request you to consider and resolve the veto in compliance with the law.”
