Mongolian cycling team participates in fundraiser in Britain

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. To raise money for fighting heart and circulatory diseases, nine Mongolian cyclists living in the United Kingdom took part in a fundraising cycling event organized for the 44th year by the 'British Heart Foundation' charity organization on June 16.


The annual cycling event covered 90 km from London to Brighton. Members of the ‘Team Mongolians’ group of cycle enthusiasts D.Ochirbat (team leader), B.Chinzorig, D.Mendsaikhan, B.Ariuntuya, B.Buyantogtokh, B.Itgelbat, D.Tserenbat, B.Batbold, and Ch.Otgondavaa took part in the journey.


A London based photo studio, 'G-StudioMN' prepared a photo report to support the Mongolian cyclists. Each cyclist donates GBP 45 pound to participate in the fundraising journey.


The non-profit research institution ‘British Heart Foundation’ was founded in 1961 at the initiative of doctors and researchers. In 2017-2018, the foundation raised GBP 170 million, of which GBP 128 million was used for treatment and research of cardiovascular diseases. Incidentally, a study found that around 7 million British citizens suffer from cardiovascular disease.
