Beijing Days held in UlaanbaatarSociety
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and China and the 5th anniversary of friendly relations between Beijing and Ulaanbaatar, the Governor’s Office of Ulaanbaatar in cooperation with the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality organized the Beijing Days event on July 22.
Present at the event were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Mongolia Xing Haimin, Head of the Governor’s Office E.Sodnomjamts, Leader of road and transportation projects in Ulaanbaatar B.Otgonsukh and Deputy secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee Li Biyu.
Opening the ceremony Mr. B.Otgonsukh delivered remarks, “In the recent years, the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Mongolia and China has been developing in all fields. Ulaanbaatar is Beijing’s closest neighbor to develop cooperation in commerce, economy, culture, education, health and other sectors. The cities are well-connected by air, rail and road. We are confident that cooperation between the cities will expand in all fields.”
During the opening, Ambassador Xing Haimin noted that he is delighted to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations between the cities, expressing gratitude to the authorities of Ulaanbaatar for the event.
Being organized for the first time in Ulaanbaatar, the Beijing Days featured the exhibitions of Beijing heritages, eco-friendly street lighting and a concert at the Central Cultural Palace.
