Environment Minister addresses on climate change

/MONSTAME/ A Mongolian delegation led by Minister of Environment and Tourism
N.Tserenbat is taking part in the International Conference on Climate Change
and the Role of Nuclear Power of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
taking place in Vienna, Austria on October 7-11.
Participating
in the conference’s High-Level Plenary Session of Member States as a keynote
speaker, Minister N.Tserenbat informed of the current state of climate change in Mongolia, government
policies and laws on the issue, and actions planned by the government for
implementation of the Paris Agreement. In his address, the Environment Minister
noted it is important to reduce the adverse effects of climate change by introducing
environmentally friendly nuclear technology, and improving inter-sectoral coordination,
making evidence based decisions.
