New Zealand magazine publishes works by Mongolian poetsArt & Culture
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Works by Mongolian poets have been featured in the 16th Volume of the Catalyst Literary Arts Journal of New Zealand. Poems of 10 poets including G.Mend-Ooyo, Ts.Bavuudorj, M.Uyansukh, and O.Tsend-Ayush that were translated from Mongolian to English by Simon Smith, G.Delgermaa, N.Bilguudei, and J.Liitov were published as a special feature on the magazine with the poets' biographies.
The magazine’s cover and pages also featured artwork of a young Mongolian artist named B.Bayartsengel. Editor-in-chief of the magazine Doc Drumheler said, “I am happy to be bringing Mongolian literature to the readers of New Zealand for the very first time. I got the chance to listen to works of Mongolian poets during the 39th World Congress of Poets in Bhubaneswar, India where I introduced our magazine.”
