City council chair meets Polish Ambassador
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Chairman of the Citizens’ Representative Khural of the capital city (City Council) R.Dagva on November 19 met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Mongolia Krzysztof Bojko and talked about elevating bilateral cooperation.
In the course of their discussion, the role of the two countries’ capital cities in improving relations between private entities of the two countries and expanding bilateral economic cooperation was stressed. Chairman R.Dagva emphasized that economic cooperation is the strongest ties.
Noting that the
capital cities have possibility to cooperate at all levels, Mr. Krzysztof Bojko informed that Poland’s
economy has been constantly growing by 5-7 percent annually since 1992 and
expressed its readiness to develop economic cooperation with Ulaanbaatar. The
sides agreed to go over this issue in detail during the upcoming official visit
of the Speaker of Poland to Mongolia.
Moreover, the
Polish Ambassador welcomed Mr. R.Dagva’s proposal regarding the possibility of
establishing a park or street named after Warsaw as a representation of the
friendship between the capital cities and suggested naming it after the late
President of Poland Lech Kaczyński.
