National currency in circulation shows 1.6 percent decrease at the end of November

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The money supply (broad money or M2) reached MNT 20.4 trillion at the end of November 2019, showing a decrease of MNT 24.2 billion (0.1%) from the previous month, while it was increased by MNT 1.8 trillion (9.6%) from the same period of previous year.
At the end of November 2019, the national currency in circulation reached MNT 860.2 billion, showing a decrease of MNT 13.7 billion (1.6%) from the previous month and by MNT 34.9 billion (3.9%) from the same period of previous year.
At the end of November 2019,
the amount of outstanding loan to entities, enterprises and citizens amounted
MNT 18.2 trillion, showing a decrease of MNT 34.1 billion (0.2%) from the
previous month, while it shows an increase of MNT 1.4 trillion (8.7%) from the
same period of previous year.
At the end of November 2019, the principals in arrears amounted MNT 968.5 billion, showing an increase of MNT 16.0 billion (1.7%) from the previous month, while it shows a decrease of MNT 5.5 billion (0.6%) from the same period of previous year. The principals in arrears makes up to 5.3% of total loans, showing an increase of 0.1 percent from the previous month, while it shows a decrease of 0.5 percent from the same period of previous year.
At the end of October 2019, the outstanding loans to individual in arrears amounted MNT 12.2 trillion, increased by MNT 20.6 billion (0.2%) from the previous month, which it is increased by MNT 1.2 trillion (10.7%) from the same period of previous year. The decomposition of total loans shows that its 37.4 percent was mortgage loans, 26.5 percent was salary loans, 13.2 percent was small and medium enterprises loans, 10.4 percent was consumer loans, 6.5 percent was pensions and 6.0 percent was other loans.
At the end of November 2019,
the non-performing loans in banking system amounted MNT 1.9 trillion, decreased
by MNT 10.8 billion (0.6%) from the previous month and by MNT 149.1 billion
(7.2%) from the same period of previous year. The non-performing loans in the
banking system makes up to 10.6% of total loans, showing a decrease of 1.8
percentage points from the same period of previous year.
