President invites Greta Thunberg to International Youth Green Games
Society
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On January 24, during his
participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, President of
Mongolia Kh.Battulga met with climate activist Greta Thunberg and officially invited
her to the International Youth Green
Games 2020 to be hosted by Mongolia.
International Youth Green Games, aimed at representing the
voice of young people on climate change issues through sports, is scheduled to
be organized among U18 athletes from 195 UN member countries in Ulaanbaatar,
Mongolia from September 13 to 19.
The International Youth Green Games’ host country - Mongolia –
fully supports the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 and has
set major objectives to make environmentally-friendly choices, promote the
importance of environmental conservation, and raise the awareness of young
people with their involvement in line with the SDGs.
