MIAT not to transport foreign nationals from Beijing and Hong Kong

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In connection with the government’s decision to temporarily impose travel restrictions, banning Chinese and foreign nationals to enter Mongolia through borders checkpoints to China by auto vehicles, trains and airplanes from February 1 until March 2, 2020, Mongolian National flag carrier MIAT Mongolian Airlines announced that it will not be able to transport foreign nationals on its flights from Beijing and Hong Kong to Ulaanbaatar during this period. Also, MIAT will not transport Mongolian nationals on their outbound flights to Beijing and Hong Kong from Ulaanbaatar.
However, the airline says there will be no restrictions for foreign nationals to leave Mongolia through MIAT’s outbound flights to all destinations including Beijing and Hong Kong.
To accommodate customers, MIAT Mongolian Airlines will offer full refund or waive rebooking charge on Ulaanbaatar-Beijing-Ulaanbaatar and Ulaanbaatar-Hong Kong-Ulaanbaatar routes for customers, whose flights were affected by the suspension.
