50 Mongolians to arrive from Inner Mongolia, China

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. State Emergency Commission today announced that 50 Mongolian nationals aged between 18 and 45, who are currently in Inner Mongolia of China, will be brought to Mongolia tomorrow, April 14 across Zamiin-Uud vehicle crossing checkpoint. 


They have applied to diplomatic missions of Mongolia in the region to return to Mongolia since March 25 and around 20 of them are young children and seniors. 


All of the people to be brought back home will follow all quarantine rules imposed for those arriving from abroad and will pay for expenses related to mandatory quarantine upon arrival. 


No other evacuation or charter flight is planned as of today, according to T.Badral, chair of the SEC.  


Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar said that there are estimated 7,888 Mongolian citizens abroad who wish to return home and 9 Mongolians currently living abroad are reported to have infected with the coronavirus. “The government is considering all possibilities to provide help to Mongolian nationals abroad,” said Minister Tsogtbaatar.
