Mongolian CS:GO team wins at Asia Championship

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Mongolian team of 'Counter-Strike: Global Offensive', more commonly known as CS:GO, ‘Tiger’ placed first at the first series of ESL One – Road to Rio Asia Championship online tournament which took place between May 6-10.


In the tournament which 8 Asian top teams competed, Mongolian team ‘Tiger’ won the tournament by taking down Chinese team Tyloo, who have been ranked 1st in Asia for the last two years, in the finals by 2:1.


The roster of Tiger includes Erdenetsogt “erkaSt” Gantulga, Gan-Erdene “dobu” Batbold, Batbayar “kabal” Bat-Enkh, Bold “ncl” Batsukh and Yesuntumur “nin9” Gantulga.


In addition to Tiger, Mongolian teams D13 and Mazaalai successfully competed in the tournament and placed 3-4th and 5-6th respectively.


Depending on the performance in the remaining two series of ESL One – Road to Rio, it will be decided which team to represent Asia in ESL One – Rio Major 2020 which is scheduled to be held in November, 2020 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
