TIKA donates 500 face shields

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Today, TIKA (Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency) donated 500 plastic face shields to Military Central Hospital to support Mongolia’s fight against COVID-19 pandemic.


The face shields have been handed over to Director of Military Central Hospital, Colonel S.Batbold by TIKA Program Coordinator in Ulaanbaatar Emrah Ustaomer. Moreover, the handover ceremony was attended by Colonel Tamer Akkan, Military Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Mongolia and other relevant officials.


The face shields were made by 3D printers which had also been donated by TIKA as a non-refundable aid to the National University of Mongolia and Mongolian University of Science and Technology.


In addition to the handover ceremony, Colonel B.Batbayar, Senior Specialist of the Foreign Cooperation Department of Ministry of Defence, Colonel B.Ulziikhuyag, Deputy Director for Research and Social Partnership of the National Defense University met with Emrah Ustaomer, TIKA Program Coordinator, and Colonel Tamer Akkan, Military Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Mongolia and exchanged views on further cooperation and possible joint projects and programs.


TIKA was established in 1992 to assist in the development of the countries in Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Caucasia and Balkan.
