Speaker G.Zandanshatar pays courtesy call on President Kh.Battulga

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Speaker of the Parliament G.Zandanshatar, who has been re-elected as Speaker of the new parliament, which formed as a result of 2020 Parliamentary Election, paid a courtesy call on President Kh.Battulga today, July 1.


Congratulating the Speaker on re-electing as the Speaker of the Parliament, President Kh.Battulga noted the necessity to run parliamentary activities nonstop, working on weekends in this time of economic difficulties and asked him to immediately start his work from today.  


During the meeting, they talked over completion of railroad construction in route Gashuunsukhait-Tavantolgoi, Tavantolgoi-Zuunbayam, which were reflected in state policy on railroad transportation as well as commencing railroad constructions in route Altanshireet-Baruun-Urt and Baruun-Urt-Khuut as well as regional development matters. The President expressed his position on works that should be immediately started, including irrigating Gobi region along railroad infrastructure and urgently stop use of underground water in mining by creating anti-desertification system. 


Aside from mining, the President asked him to attach attention on continuing and completing works to build agricultural raw material processing plants and actions targeted to raising herders' income by exporting agricultural products.
