Number of securities traded at national stock market decreased by 58.5 percent in October

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. In the first ten months of 2020,
securities worth of MNT 37.7 billion were traded at the national stock market, showing
a decrease of MNT 99.0 billion (72.4%) compared to the same period of the previous
year.
In October 2020, 2.9 billion pieces of securities worth MNT
26.1 million were traded at the national stock market, decreased by MNT 4.1
billion (58.5%), while the amount of traded securities grew by 19.2 million
(3.8 times more) pieces compared to the same period of the previous year. The total
turnover of stocks increased by MNT 1.1 billion (60.2%), and the pieces of
securities rose by 11.6 million (80.5%) from the previous month.
In October 2020, the average of indices of the top 20
financial markets was 17458.1 units, increased by 281.9 units from the previous
month, but showed a decrease of 1155.4 units from the same period of 2019.
In October 2020, the total value of joint-stock companies
operating at stock markets reached MNT 2.6 trillion, decreased by MNT 33.9
billion (1.3%) from the previous month.
