5 new cases of COVID-19 detected in Ulaanbaatar city

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On December 9, a total of 21,470 people were involved in COVID-19 testing nationwide and five people were tested positive for coronavirus.
Specifically, five new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Ulaanbaatar city. Four of the cases were close contacts (family members) of the previous confirmed case in Ulaanbaatar city and they were diagnosed with the coronavirus after their repeated testing. Another infected person was a nurse of the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD), informed Head of Surveillance Department of the NCCD A.Ambaselmaa during today's press briefing of the Ministry of Health.
No new infections detected in Selenge, Darkhan-Uul, Dornogobi Gobisumber and Arkhangai aimag in the past 24 hours. Thus the number of confirmed infection cases of COVID-19 now at 898 with 384 recoveries.
505 people are receiving treatment at the NCCD, Military Central Hospital and general hospital of Selenge aimag. One of them is in very critical, 5 are in critical, 84 are in serious and 415 are in mild health condition.
