Democratic election issues discussed with EU Ambassador to Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Chairman of the General Election Commission of Mongolia P.Delgernaran today received Ambassador of the European Union to Mongolia Traian Laurentiu Hristea.
The sides discussed and shared views on the matters related to democratic election and cooperation with the EU member countries, especially, international organizations engaged in election and human rights related activities.
Mentioning the active cooperation between the General Election Commission of Mongolia and the Community of Democracies, the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance and other organizations in improving electoral process and legal environment, Mr. P.Delgernaran briefed about works being planned to be implemented in directions of voter education and election observers.
In response, Ambassador Traian Laurentiu voiced his readiness to pay attention on assistance from international organizations and provide support aside from collaborating with Ambassadors of EU countries to Mongolia on the issues of democracy and election.
