PM receives Ambassador of Kazakhstan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Prime Minister of Mongolia L.Oyun-Erdene
received today Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to
Mongolia Zhalgas Adilbayev.
The Prime Minister noted that the two countries, which are historically, culturally and ethnically connected, have consistently and steadily developed mutually trusting and friendly relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992. He thanked Prime Minister Askar Mamin for sending him a congratulatory letter on his appointment as Prime Minister and expressed his hope that he would visit Mongolia on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the People's Revolution.
Praising the measures being taken by the Government of Mongolia in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic, the Ambassador expressed confidence that the two governments would further expand relations and cooperation.
The sides discussed the possibilities to increase the trade turnover between the two countries which now stands at USD 19 million and exchanged views on cooperation in railways and roads, agriculture, education, culture, tourism and other spheres. Moreover, the sides agreed to realize agreements reached during the 8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission held last year, reports the Media and Public Relations Department of the Government.
