Ambassador to Uruguay presents copy of credentials

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On March 15, 2021, Ambassador
Sh.Battsetseg presented copy of the letter of credence to H.E.Francisco
Bustillo Bonasso, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Oriental Republic of
Uruguay.
During the virtual ceremony, Ambassador Sh.Battsetseg
highlighted that becoming the first ever Ambassador accredited to Uruguay
demonstrates the importance that the Government of Mongolia attributes to the
bilateral cooperation between both countries and expressed her readiness to
work with Minister Francisco Bonasso to develop bilateral cooperation in the
agriculture and animal husbandry sector in the framework of South-South
cooperation and develop closer relations between Mongolia and the “Mercosur”
member countries.
In 2018, a
consultative mechanism between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia
and Uruguay was established, and the citizens of the two countries travel
without visa restrictions
