Two Mongolian swimmers test their speeds at Tokyo Olympics

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On July 30, two Mongolian athletes competed in the freestyle swimming events at the Tokyo Olympics. 


M.Delgerkhuu competed in the men’s 50m freestyle swimming event, with a time of 24.63. His personal record in this distance is 23.93 seconds. He competed alongside athletes from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Armenia, Refugee Olympic Team, Philippines, Cyprus, Eritrea, and Mauritania in Heat 5. Out of a total of 73 athletes, Delgerkhuu placed 43rd. 

 

 

As for B.Enkhkhuslen, she renewed the national record by finishing the women’s 50m freestyle event with a time of 27.29. The previous record of 27.66 seconds was also set by Enkhkhuslen. Out of 81 athletes that competed in the event, she placed 51st, finishing 3.27 seconds behind the athlete that ranked 1st.
