Two-day workshop ‘Bridging policies with budgets’ running

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. UNDP Mongolia in collaboration with
the Ministry of Finance, Ministry Labour and Social Protection, and Ministry
Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry as well as all Local Governor’s offices
commenced a 2-day virtual workshop on ‘Bridging Policies with Budgets’ on October
6 within the framework of the European Union-funded ‘SDG-Aligned Budgeting to
Transform Employment in Mongolia’ project.
Over 700 representatives from the local Governor’s offices,
namely, investment and Development Policy and Planning, Social Policy, Finance
and treasury divisions, and local Labour and Welfare Service, Food and
Agriculture and Veterinary departments attended the first day of the workshop.
Presentations were made on SDG-aligned or evidence-based and
result-oriented planning and budgeting in terms of their importance and implementation
issues and findings of a study on labour demand and supply in Mongolia.
