'Winter Food' meat trade improves supply of meat with clear origin

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. With an aim to increase meat supply for populations in urban areas and the capital city, The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry (MoFALI) is organizing ‘Winter
food’ trade in phases.
Gobi-Altai is one of the aimags that participating in the trade by supplying meat, which meet hygiene requirements from healthy areas. The aimag is organizing ‘Food delivery’ event for the second time to ensure waste-free supply of meat with clear origin. The QR code label on the meat contains information on the origin as well as preparation and transportation of the meat.
The first phase of the meat trade took place at the Central Stadium from November 25 to December 5, while the second
phase of the trade will be held on December 6 and 20 at Tenger Wholesale Center,
Independence Square and ‘Food City’ shopping Center, increasing the supply of
meat.
