GIZ SPACES project plans 2022 activities with partner organization

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On December 21, annual planning
workshop of ‘Supporting Protected Areas for the Conservation of Ecosystem
Services’ (SPACES) project was held in cooperation with its implementation
partner from the Department of Protected Area Management, the Ministry of
Environment and Tourism. Project stakeholders convened to review the project’s
2021 achievements and to define activities to be implemented in 2022.
The project’s Annual Plan 2022 which is elaborated based on
the results of the workshop, will be presented to the Project Steering
Committee in January, 2022.
SPACES is supported by the German Government and implemented
by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in
cooperation with the Mongolian Ministry of Environment and Tourism. In
addition, the fifth component (STREAM) of the project is jointly co-financed by
European Union and the German Government.
