3.6 magnitude earthquake occurred in Bayankhongor aimag

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. According to the National Emergency Management Agency, a 3.6 magnitude earthquake has been recorded in a place called ‘Bukhiin Am’ in Jargalant soum of Bayankhongor aimag.

 

Specifically, the Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics confirmed that the earthquake struck the area at 1:20 am on January 5.

 

The Governor of the soum reported that residents did not feel the tremors and no damage was recorded.
