New international flight route to be introduced in Khovd aimag

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Starting from March 16, Hunnu Air airline will be conducting international flights en route Khovd - Almaty. Minister of Road and Transport L.Khaltar announced the decision during his working trip to the country’s western region to become acquainted with the operations of airports in Bayan-Ulgii and Khovd aimags, the local Auto Transportation Center, and companies in charge of auto road maintenance.
In connection with the new international flight route, the Minister tasked the executives of the Khovd aimag airport to cooperate with border control, customs, and specialized inspection organizations in order to develop a plan in order to create correlation between works.
As for Bayan-Ulgii aimag authorities, they requested the Minister to allow more flights to be conducted between Ulaanbaatar and Ulgii, and put forth a suggestion to create a new international flight route between Ulgii and Kazakhstan.
