Minister puts forth request to continue to implement EU’s Erasmus+ programme

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On May 3, Minister of Education and Science L.Enkh-Amgalan received Ambassador of the European Union, Head of the EU Delegation to Mongolia Axelle Nicaise.

During the meeting, the Minister expressed gratitude for successfully implementing capacity building projects for higher education in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme. The sides also exchanged views on:

• cooperating in involving school counsellors in short- and mid-term training, and building the capacity of professors and lecturers specialising in psychology at the National University of Mongolia and the Mongolian National University of Education, 

• involving young scholars and researchers in the science field in the Horizon Europe programme, 

• and continuing to implement Erasmus+.

In turn, the EU Ambassador expressed that she will support the Minister’s suggestions. The EU opened its delegation in Mongolia in 2017. In the last three years, projects and programmes have been implemented with a total financing of EUR 135 million from the EU.
