B.Bat-Erdene held a meeting with President of the Mars Society Dr.
Robert Zubrin and his wife Hope Zubrin, and Professor Hiroaki Akayama of the
Wakayama University, Institute for Education on Space.
The sides exchanged views on the possibility of establishing
the Mars Research Station in Mongolia. Minister of Environment and Tourism
B.Bat-Erdene said that the country is ready to support and cooperate with
world-class projects and noted the possibility of establishing the research
station in the Mongolian Gobi.
Dr. Robert Zubrin and his wife arrived in Mongolia on June
18. The Mars Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to human
exploration of the planet Mars. It was founded by Robert Zubrin in 1998.
