Olympic figure skating champion Alina Zagitova visits Embassy of Mongolia

July 27, Olympic figure skating champion Alina Zagitova visited the Embassy of
Mongolia in Russia to exchange views on the possibility to cooperate with sports figures
and organizations in developing figure skating in Mongolia.
Expressing gratitude to the prominent Russian sportswoman for taking the time to visit the embassy, Minister-counsellor of the Embassy of Mongolia in the Russian Federation D.Khasar noted the great interest of Mongolians in ice hockey and figure skating competitions, and also said that Mongolian fans are proud of the great achievements of her made in sports field.
During the meeting, Counsellor of
the Embassy of Mongolia in the Russian Federation informed about the ‘Ice
Palace’ in Ulaanbaatar city commissioned last year with a capacity of seating 2500, expressing
willingness of the executives of the Steppe Arena, which built the palace, to invite
Russian figure skater Alina Zagitova to visit Mongolia. Furthermore, he
expressed commitment to take the first step towards the development of
figure skating in Mongolia, and asked Alina Zagitova to consider this proposal.
Alina
Zagitova and her manager Maria Kuptsova supported a certain proposal put forth
by Chairman of the Board of Directors at Steppe Arena LLC P.Tsagaan to
cooperate and agreed to discuss the proposal in detail in order to realize it.
