Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On August 26, Chairman of the State Great Khural
(Parliament) G. Zandanshatar received the Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Mongolia Zafer Ateş.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Speaker noted that despite
of geographical remoteness of two countries, Mongolia and Turkey are connected
by long-term historical and cultural ties. Further, G.Zandanshatar
said that Mongolia considers the Republic of Turkey ‘a third
neighbor’ and attaches great importance to the expansion of relations
in all spheres.
The ambassador, in turn, also noted that he was pleased
to announce the discovery of a new find on the territory of Arkhangai
aimag. The new find is the result of a joint excavation of the Otuken
historical monument located in the Nomgon area of Arkhangai aimag.
The discovery of this historical and cultural heritage has become evidence of
Mongolian-Turkish cooperation and opens a new page in relations between the two
countries, emphasized the ambassador.
During the meeting, the sides noted that bilateral relations
are actively developing in many sectors.
