Foreign Minister briefs about Mongolia’s policies and measures towards achieving gender equality

participated in the high level meeting of the ‘Feminist Foreign Policy + Group’
organized by the Permanent Mission of Germany on September 22, 2022, on the
margins of the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly.
During the meeting, the delegates shared their experiences
of feminist foreign policy at the first round of discussions, and expressed
their views on how can a feminist foreign policy, particularly feminist
multilateralism contribute to achieving the SDGs.
In her remarks, Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg briefed about
the policies and measured implemented by Mongolia towards achieving gender
equality, and expressed its interest in further cooperating with the ‘Feminist
Foreign Policy + Group’.
The ‘Feminist Foreign Policy + Group’, established at the
initiative of Swedish Foreign Minister in January 2021, consists of feminist
foreign policy countries, including Albania, Argentina, Germany, Israel, Spain,
Canada, Costa Rica, Liberia, Luxemburg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Tunis,
France, Chile, Sweden and Rwanda as an observer state.
