Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The staff members of the 11th infantry unit of the Mongolian Armed Forces, participating in the United Nation’s mandated peacekeeping operation in the Republic of South Sudan, have been organizing events and working to strengthen civil-military cooperation in phases while successfully performing their duties.
As part of this work, the Women’s
Council of the battalion organized the charity campaign “Let’s Create
Happiness.” In the campaign framework, the council presented self-made clothes,
textbooks, pens, and children’s toys to women and children living in the
Refugee Camp for Internally Displaced People in Bentiu city, wishing them to
become educated and create good things in their country.
During this occasion, the
regional coordinator, the women, and the children of the Refugee Camp for
Internally Displaced People in Bentiu city expressed gratitude to the Women’s
Council.
66 female military personnel in the Armed Forces of Mongolia infantry unit participated in this creative campaign. For them, it was a highly significant task as it opened up a vast opportunity to strengthen civil-military relations, develop themselves, and spend their free time efficiently.
