Meeting held with International Criminal Court President

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. S. Sukhbold, Director of the Department of International Law and Treaty of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, met with the President of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Judge Piotr Józef Hofmański, in The Hague, Netherlands, on December 9, 2022.
Handing the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia D. Ganzorig`s invitation to visit Mongolia, S. Sukhbold discussed the issues of co-organizing the regional seminar on the promotion of the Rome Statute of the ICC and the measures to be implemented in the future.
He also met Karim Ahmad Khan, Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court during the 21st session of the Assembly of States Parties of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands on the same day.
Mr. Karim Khan expressed his readiness to contribute support and assistance for the active participation of Mongolia in the functions of the ICC and in improving the human resource capacity of the Mongolian law enforcement organization. They also exchanged opinions on strengthening cooperation between organizations and joint events.
