Foreign Minister of Mongolia Meets Honorary Consul of Mongolia in Sapporo, Japan

Ulaanbaatar, August 19, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Minister of Foreign Affairs Battsetseg Batmunkh met with Ts. Takebe, the Honorary Consul of Mongolia in Sapporo, Japan on August 16, 2024.


During the meeting, Minister Battsetseg emphasized that strengthening friendly relations and cooperation with Japan, a close partner with shared democratic values, is a priority in Mongolia's foreign policy. The Minister expressed her appreciation for Honorary Consul Takebe's efforts in promoting exchanges between the people of Mongolia and Japan and enhancing cooperation between businesses and enterprises. The parties reaffirmed their intention to further deepen relations between Mongolia and Japan in all sectors, and foster closer ties and collaboration between the younger generations of the two countries.


Since 2014, Ts. Takebe has been serving as the Honorary Consul of Mongolia. He has actively supported the transfer of technology from Hokkaido, a region in Japan with similar natural and climatic conditions to Mongolia, and has played a key role in promoting cooperation between local governments and private sectors, as well as facilitating increased people-to-people exchanges.
