President of Mongolia Meets Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan

Ashgabat, October 11, 2024 /MONTSAME/. As part of his State Visit to Turkmenistan, President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa met with Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People’s Council) of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow on October 11, 2024.
At the meeting, President Khurelsukh expressed commitment to expanding and developing mutually beneficial cooperation in trade and economy. The Head of State further expressed satisfaction in paying a visit to Turkmenistan for the first time as President of Mongolia, and personally getting acquainted with the people of Turkmenistan and the prosperity of the country.
The two sides expressed confidence that this State Visit will strengthen the legal framework of the relations between Mongolia and Turkmenistan, enrich cooperation with new content, and have significant contributions to strengthening the peace and friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
The Halk Maslahaty (People’s Council) of Turkmenistan is an independent, highest representative body that implements constitutional authority. The Halk Maslahaty has the authority to amend the constitution and other laws of Turkmenistan and discuss the Government of Turkmenistan’s guidelines on domestic and foreign policy.
