Ulaanbaatar to Implement 145 Projects in Education
SocietyUlaanbaatar, January 13, 2025 /MONTSAME/. In 2024, 168 projects and measures were implemented in the capital's education sector, with 9 schools, 19 kindergartens, and one primary school and one kindergarten complex being put into operation.
During an emergency consultative meeting of the capital's administrative officials, Head of the Metropolitan Education Department of Mongolia Amartuvshin Bold noted that 9 more projects will be added in 2025, bringing the total to 145 projects and measures. Moreover, according to the preliminary plan for 2025, 25 schools, 50 kindergartens, and 14 primary schools and kindergarten complexes will be put into operation.
Furthermore, Mr. Amartuvshin stated, “The Budget of the Capital City for 2025 includes 8 projects on the purchase of one school building, the purchase of five kindergarten buildings, and the construction of two schools. Additionally, a kindergarten will be built with funding from the budget of the Bayangol district. Currently, 145 projects and measures are underway, of which 71 are funded by the State Budget, 50 by the capital’s budget, and 14 by district budgets. Also, last month, the State Commission conducted inspections on two schools, two kindergartens, and one primary school and one kindergarten complex and concluded that they didn't meet building quality standards."
