Improving the Legal Framework and Regulations of the Family Law Discussed

Ulaanbaatar, March 7, 2025 /MONTSAME/. In commemoration of International Women’s Rights Day, a discussion was held at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum of Mongolia with the aim of protecting family values, women’s and children’s rights, and improving the relevant legal and regulatory framework by listening to proposals from representatives of both government and non-governmental organizations.
During this discussion, representatives examined and compared developments, changes, progress, and positive trends in modern family dynamics, drawing conclusions based on good practices. Additionally, the discussion focused on improving and refining the legal framework and regulations of Family Law by gathering opinions from government organizations and citizens to find appropriate solutions.
Member of the Parliament of Mongolia Narantuya Munkhtur said, “The solution to family protection lies in understanding the essence and value of the family, the fundamental values of Mongolian families, influencing factors, changes in mindset, the necessity of preserving, improving, completely reforming, and structuring family policies and solutions in an organized manner. A unified understanding, along with up-to-date knowledge and information, is crucial for family protection policies and solutions.”
This discussion was jointly organized by the Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Protection of Mongolia, the General Authority of Child and Family Development Protection, the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia, and the National Police Agency of Mongolia.
