Mongolia to Host Women’s Asian Basketball Championship Qualification Round

Ulaanbaatar, March 20, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The National Women’s Basketball Team of Mongolia is set to compete in the qualification round for the Women’s Asian Basketball Championship. Mongolia will host this stage of the tournament on April 11-13, 2025.
Head Coach Ch. Ijilbold will lead the Mongolian Team, consisting of B. Ariuntsetseg, M. Bulbul, B. Unurzaya, O. Khulan, B. Bolor-Erdene, U. Indra, B. Enkhtuul, N. Nandinkhusel, E. Narangoo, T. Ulemj, U. Sodtsetseg, Ts. Bolortsetseg, B. Tsatsral, M. Sergelen, B. Bolor-Erdene, B. Gerelmaa, Ch. Urtnasan, N. Nomin-Erdene, N. Minjirmaa, A. Khongorzul, B. Nyamtsetseg, E. Enkhbuyan, and L. Javzandulam. The team began its centralized training on March 17, 2025. After a 21-day training period, 12 players will be selected for the final roster.
This marks the first time Mongolia is hosting the Eastern Zone qualification tournament for the Women’s Asian Basketball Championship “B” Division. The main event will take place in the People’s Republic of China starting July 13, 2025.
