Russian Deputy Defense Minister and US Defense Secretary to visit Mongolia
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On August 8, Mongolia will host two high-level visits of US Defense Secretary Mark Esper and Russian Deputy Minister of Defense Alexander Fomin.
"Tea Road" cultural and heritage festival to be held
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ From 13 to 16 August. “Tea Road” heritage and cultural festival will be organized for the second time in Khovd aimag, home to many ethnic groups. There are people of 17 ethnic groups, such as Altai Uriankhai, Durvud, Zakhchin, Myangad, Olot, Torghut, Khalkha, Khoshut, Kazakh and Tuva live in 17 soums of Khovd aimag. This festival aims to promote and pass down the tangible and intangible cultural heritage, folk art and tea culture of these ethnic communities and develop local tourism sector.
Mongolia-Indian IT outsourcing center to be built
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ State Secretary of Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports B.Bayarsaikhan received delegates of Indian “Lovely International Trust” company, which was selected as an executor of the second complex project “Mongolia-India Information Technology Education and Outsourcing Center” to be implemented by the Ministry. The center, to be built by the soft loan from the Indian Government and Export–Import Bank of India, will be equipped with the latest technologies and engineers and instructors to work at the center will also be trained.
Mongolian land exchange system launches
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A digital platform for conducting auctions of land acquisition and land tendering was launched last week. The integrated land exchange platform not only allows people to participate in land auctions and tendering activities using their computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones from wherever they are, but also receive information about land and land acquisition, auction and post their advertisement for land sale or lease.
International coal trade, investment conference and exhibition for 9th year

First person to tightrope walk across Ulaan Tsutgalan waterfall
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian circus actor M.Myagmarsaikhan, who is written on the Encyclopedia of Mongolia nCircus as the highest tightrope walker, is going to walk on a tightrope across the Waterfall Ulaan Tsutgalan in Bat-Ulzii soum of Uvurkhangai aimag on 11 August. He is going to walk on a 65-long tightrope 25 metres above the ground. This is the first time of tightrope walking in the beautiful landscape in Mongolia.
"Discovery Channel" on hiking tour in western Mongolia

Khentii aimag to be developed as historical tourist area

Head of the Cabinet Secretariat of Government and Minister of Mongolia L.Oyun-Erdene worked in Bayankhutag and Galshar soums of Khentii aimag as a member of Parliament during the last weekend. In accordance with a government resolution to develop Khentii aimag as a historical tourist zone, numerous works are being carried out in different soums of the aimag, reflecting each of their unique features.

JICA hands over diesel particulate filters for public buses
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On August 1, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) delivered diesel particulate filters (DPF) for public buses in the capital city to the Ulaanbaatar city administration. The device has been installed in buses for a test since 2017 within a project to decrease PM emissions from vehicles.
