Japan’s Tokuda foundation donates hemodialysis apparatuses

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A ceremony took place on Tuesday at which five hemodialysis apparatuses were given Nalaikh city’s hospital.

Present at the ceremony were R.Jigjid, the Minister of Mining and a Board member of the “Tokuda-Mongolia” foundation; D.Gankhuyag MP; Ms M.Tokuda, a head of Japan’s Tokuda foundation; and B.Erdenebat, a head of the Nalaikh city’s hospital. Gankhuyag MP thanked the foundation for donating such equipment greatly nedeed in Mongolia, and stressed that the Mongolia-Japan ties have been widening in accordance with a principle of comprehensive partnership.

Recent years, a number of people with renal failure has increased. Some 150 people desperately need this hemodialysis apparatus, but their 60 percent only can get access to 90 devices Mongolia has.

Through the “Tokuda-Mongolia” foundation at the “Tokuda” foundation of Japanese “Tokushyukai” Group, another five apparatuses will be given to a general hospital of Bayankhongor province. The equipment costs about 240 thousand US dollars.
