Harvesting declines in 2015
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In 2015, 216.3 thousand tons of grains, 163.8 thousand tons of potatoes, 72.3 thousand tons of vegetables were harvested, and 1028.7 thousand tons of hay and 39.9 thousand tons of handmade fodder were produced.
Amount of harvested grains went down by 302.5 thousand tons or 58.3 percent, of hay produced – by 150.0 thousand tons or 12.7 percent, of vegetables -- 32.4 thousand tons or 31.0 percent, and hand-made fodder – by 0.4 thousand tons or 0.9 percent, while the amount of harvested potatoes rose by 2.3 thousand tons or 1.4 percent compared to the previous year, reports the National Statistic Office.
